Marcegaglia Long Products is a global producer of high-quality stainless steel long products. We are known for our ability to offer high quality and reliable products in a wide range of grades, shapes and sizes.
Our stainless steel is a sustainable metal, produced with over 90% recycled materials and using renewable energy sources, providing our customers with a lower carbon footprint than within the industry.
LONG HISTORY
The Long Products businesses are known for the invention of stainless steel as well as being the first in the world to roll stainless steel wire rod in Fagersta, Sweden. Our offering includes Prodec® bar that produces highly improved machinable bars. Our long legacy gives a proven track record of our technical expertise that customers benefit from when dealing with us.
PRODUCTION UNITS
We have production in two continents: Europe and USA. Main part of production and sales takes place in Sheffield UK, where we have melt shop SMACC, wire rod mill ASR and bar production unit SSB. Fagersta Stainless in Sweden produces wire rod and drawn wire. We also have bar production unit and sales in US in Richburg, South Carolina.
OUR CUSTOMERS
Our customers use stainless steel in a wide range of industrial end-uses from machined components to welding wire, forging applications, springs and cold-heading applications to name a few. Many of our customers produce bars, wire rod as well as drawn wire or act as distributors in the key markets.
Marcegaglia Long Products employs approximately 650 professionals, with production in the UK, Sweden and US.
